First Iowa Insurance Agency is pleased to announce OSHA 10 and 30 Hour Construction class offerings to our ever-growing suite of value-added services.
The OSHA 10-Hour Construction is intended to provide workers with awareness of common job-related safety and health hazards. This course focuses on the federal OSHA construction industry standards. Participants will receive a card from OSHA certifying completion of the course.
The 30-hour class teaches recognition, avoidance and prevention of safety and health hazards in the job site and is more appropriate for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility.
The addition of these classes will allow First Iowa to offer a cost-effective, flexible solution to our construction industry clients who are often times required to have employees to present an OSHA 10-hour card in order to get on to a job site.
As with many of our value-added services, there is no fee to our commercial insurance clients. We can also host non-clients for a small market-competitive fee.
